The Plana de Lleida PDUAE generates a new pole of sustainable economic and logistics activity in the Catalan territory, specially designed to host companies that require large-format and highly connected plots, anticipating the implementation of a new intermodal freight railway station.
The objective of the PDU is to promote the modal exchange of containers between trains and trucks, improving transport safety and emissions, and guaranteeing the use of public transport and non-motorized means, incorporating the forecast of the execution of healthy connectors that connect the new center of activity with the city center.
To preserve environmental and landscape values, the PDU provides for strategic, corrective and compensatory environmental measures at different scales:
Promote the environmental connectivity of the area with the recovery of the fluvial/ecological corridors of the ditch and the Femosa clamor; protect and favor the presence of autochthonous fauna species (the breaks of the bordering nature network area) and floras (the Limonium Catalaunicum); promote the incorporation of photovoltaic solar energy production systems; mitigate the visual impact of the industrial buildings through transition spaces between the street and the industrial plots.
